The NBA Playoffs are in full swing as the semi final match ups are under way. In the Eastern Conference the Indiana Pacers faced off against the Miami Heat in Game 2 in Miami. The Heat won game one 95-86. Game two would not go the same way for the Heat, even though Dwayne Wade dropped in 24 points, and LeBron James added 28 more. David West threw in 16 for the Pacers and led them to a stunning 78-75 victory as James and Wade faded down the stretch. It is true that the Heat were without injured Chris Bosh, but great teams find a way to win, especially when you have a Wade and a James.

The quarter finals of the NBA Playoffs are all but over and the semi finals are ready to begin. In the Eastern Conference the 8th seeded Philadelphia 76ers beat the 1st seeded Chicago Bulls in 6 games to move onto the semi finals. The 4th seeded Boston Celtics defeated the 5th seeded Atlanta Hawks in 6 games to move on as well. The 3rd seeded Indiana Pacers knocked off the 6th seeded Orlando Magic in 5 games, and the 2nd seeded Miami Heat eliminated the New York Knicks in 5 games to move on to the semi finals too.

 In the shortened NBA Season of 2011/2012 records were set and familiar faces have returned to the promised land. The East has a beast in the name of the Chicago Bulls who have the #1 seed and home court advantage going into the playoffs that tip off over the weekend. The Bulls clinched the Central Division leaving playoff bound Indiana 8 games in the dust.

The 2012 NFL Draft kicks off tomorow night, April 26th. For the millions of faithful football fans this day could have not come fast enough. The results of the draft can make or break a team over time and many teams need some luck in this draft year. Speaking of luck; Andrew Luck is projected to be the number one pick this year. Last night, Saturday, April 21, 2012 Chicago White Sox Pitcher Phil Humber pitched the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history forever placing him in the ranks of legends. For a guy who had recently underwent Tommy John surgery Humber was certainly humming the ball well. After he had completed his historic feat Humber was humble, which was humbling to his fans as well.

The 2012 Major League Baseball season has been under way for two weeks now and although it is hard to draw a clear picture of where this season is headed; some things are all to similar. In the American League East the 2011 season ended with the all too familiar New York Yankees winning the division with the best record int he American League 97-65. Early in the 2012 season the Baltimore Orioles lead the Toronto Blue Jays by a half a game. Very few people other than Baltimore fans expect this lead to last.

The 76th Annual Masters Golf Tournament teed off in Augusta, Georgia this morning. It rained all Wednesday night leaving the field damp and tricky. The greens will be the softest today, but it does not necessarily mean they will be slow. Some of the best golfers in the world are in this field and it should be a dandy. Tiger Woods is fresh off his win at Bay Hill a few weeks ago and is looking for the 5th Green Jacket of his famed career. Rory Mcllroy is bound and determined to get his first. He won the Honda Classic last month.
