NCAAF Alamo Bowl Betting Preview

Two Top 25 teams with potent offenses get together on Monday as 22nd ranked Northwestern faces 25th ranked Missouri.  Northwestern (9-4) vs. Missouri (9-3) Monday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN.  The Tigers had what could be considered a disappointing season considering they expected to be playing in a BCS bowl game this season. Quarterback Chase Daniel and receiver Jeremy Maclin had good years but the Tigers defense was a sieve, giving up a ton of points. Missouri was ranked as high as #3 this season but lost four of their last eight games including the Big 12 title game to Oklahoma. “It’s going to sting for a while and why wouldn’t it?” Daniel said, “But we can finish off in style. When was the last time a Missouri team won 10 games back-to-back in history? Never. We still have a chance to make history.”

SBG Global College Football betting has the public taking Missouri at Home.

Northwestern enters the bowl game with a much better frame of mind. Nothing was expected of the Wildcats but they surprised everyone to finish 9-3, including winning their finale against Illinois 27-10. “To be at nine wins right now with an opportunity for number ten, the opportunity to achieve our main goal this year – to win a bowl game – is all right here in front of us,” said head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Northwestern has not won a bowl game since 1949. “I think, if anything, (the bowl drought) will provide a little extra motivation,” senior quarterback C.J. Bacher said. “At the beginning of the year we set out to win a bowl game and we’ve put ourselves in a position to do that.”

SBG Global Current Line: Missouri – 12.5, Total 66.5

Northwestern and Missouri are playing for the first time since 1987. The all-time series is tied at 4-4. Here are more College Football betting stats for Monday’s game. The Wildcats are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.

Last Week NFL Online Betting Preview

Miami Dolphins (10-5) at New York Jets (9-6) Sunday, 4:15 pm Eastern – CBS

The Miami Dolphins and  Chad Pennington are one victory away from winning the AFC East and it is only fitting that the game would be in New York against Pennington’s old team the New York Jets and against the quarterback who replaced him, Brett Favre. SBG Global reports that early NFL online betting odds has the public taking Jets at Home.

If the Dolphins get a victory they can will win the AFC East just a year after going 1-15. It has been an unbelievable turnaround under vice president Bill Parcells and head coach Tony Sparano. Leading the way for the Dolphins has been Pennington who was cast aside by the Jets for Favre. That decision doesn’t look very good now since Pennington’s Dolphins can clinch the division with a win while Favre’s Jets have collapsed and now need help to make the playoffs.

The Jets can still make the playoffs but they need to beat the Dolphins and have Buffalo upset New England. They could also make the playoffs as a Wild Card if they win and Baltimore loses at home against Jacksonville.

New York won the first matchup between the two teams 20-14 but Pennington nearly led the Dolphins to the game winning touchdown in the final seconds.

NCAA Football Champs Sports Bowl Betting

This Saturday, December 27th at 4:30, you could watch on ESPN the Champs Sports Bowl, Wisconsin (7-5) vs. Florida State (8-4). We are bringing our NCAA Football betting preview for this bowl.

SBG Global Opening Line: Florida State – 5 , Total 52.5

Two teams that had disappointing seasons meet on Saturday in the Champs Sports Bowl as Wisconsin takes on Florida State. The Seminoles have really struggled on offense lately and it has cost them, as they lost three of their last five games. Quarterback Christian Ponder did not have a good season throwing 13 interceptions for a Florida State offense that struggled to score points. The good news for the Seminoles in this game is that they are playing in Orlando so they may have a home field edge. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Florida State at Home.

The Badgers are going to their fifth straight Florida bowl game but this is not the one they wanted to be in. The Badgers were ranked as high as #9 in the polls before losing five of six. Wisconsin also had a lot of trouble throwing the ball this season as quarterbacks Allan Evridge and Dustin Sherer did not play well. The Badgers do have running back P.J. Hill though. He had 1,024 yards and 13 touchdowns this season for a Wisconsin running game that was 14th best in the country. He should get tested by a Florida State defense that was 34th against the run.

Wisconsin has lost three of their last five bowl games including last year to Tennessee in the Outback Bowl. Wisconsin and Florida State have never met in their history. Here are the College Football betting stats for Saturday’s game. The Badgers are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games. The Badgers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 bowl games as an underdog.

The Seminoles are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games. The Seminoles are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.

SBG Global Current Line: Florida State – 5.5 , Total 52.5

The Under is 4-1 in the Badgers last 5 Bowl games. The Under is 10-4 in the Badgers last 14 non-conference games.

The Over is 4-0 in the Seminoles last 4 Bowl games. The Over is 9-4 in the Seminoles last 13 vs. a team with a winning record.
