Suns Back To LA For Game 5 on 27 May

Tomorrow night the Phoenix Suns travel back to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers in game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.  The series is tied at 2 a piece after the Suns received respected bench support last night as they reeled off a 115-106 victory.

The Lakers won the first 2 games in the series at home and then the Suns bounced back to win their next 2 games at home.  For those weary fans who had already counted the Suns out and bought tickets for the Lakers-Celtics rematch; just a reminder, it’s not over until its over.

The Lakers Kobe Bryant had 38 points but it was not enough to give his team that 3-1 advantage they had envisioned as they returned home.  Kobe is normally good for a third of the Lakers production and they do put points on the board but unless you play defense it is all for not.

The Suns are the best 3 point shooting team in the league and they proved that once again on last night.  A bench full of media declared misfits stood up and gave notice last night that the Suns would not go down without a fight.  Yes, the Suns have finally built a solid team around Steve Nash but they will not find it easy playing in LA tomorrow night.

Who will win tomorrow night?  The destiny bound Lakers or the misfits from Phoenix?  This is a huge game for both teams.  The Lakers cannot afford to lose at home and then travel to Phoenix for game 6.  The Suns would like nothing better to go home for game 6 with a 3-2 lead.  You can bet there will be fireworks in LA tomorrow night.  The odds are with the Lakers but the Suns may surprise.  Until we meet again, may your betting be better and remember to always be a good sport.

Tonight Is The Charlotte Bobcats Last Stand

The Charlotte Bobcats are a young team all things considering.  They had the misfortune of following the Hornets who now play in New Orleans.  The Hornets had a love/hate relationship in Charlotte and now the Bobcats are trying to make their own splash in Carolina history.  Now that home spun hero Michael Jordan is majority owner the Bobcats are finally in the limelight.

The Bobcats made the playoffs this season for the first time in team history.  The excitement in Charlotte could not be ignored.  With Larry Brown as the Bobcats Coach it seemed the playoffs would be the place for them to shine.  However, the Orlando Magic had other plans all together.

The Magic took Game 1 98-89.  They won Game 2  easily 92-77.  Then they won Game 3 by the score of 90-86 in Charlotte.  Tonight in Charlotte the Bobcats are against that merciful wall that squeezes playoff rookies out of contention.  The Magic are poised to move on to bigger and better things.

I like the Charlotte Bobcats and I thought they would put up a better fight.  Perhaps tonight they will turn their playoff season around.  I think they will and you can bet on that.  Until we meet again; may your betting be better and remember to always be a good sport.

The NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs 2010

The NBA Eastern Conference Quarter Finals kick off tomorrow night in Cleveland as the 61-21 Cavaliers host the 41-41 Chicago Bulls.  The Bulls slipped into the playoffs as the final seed and some players have claimed they will take the playoffs by storm.  Unfortunately they forgot they were starting with Cleveland.  The Cavaliers are heavily favored to win this one and they will in a sweep.  The Bulls may put up a little fight but King James and Cleveland are hungry for the finals.

The Charlotte Bobcats 44-38 are off to Orlando Florida but not to visit Walt Disney World; they face off against the 59-23 Orlando Magic Sunday night in the Bobcats first playoff visit in team history.  Although the Bobcats are scrappers the Magic will bring a little more than the Bobcats can handle.  Charlotte will put up a fight for new owner Michael Jordan but will lose in 7.

The 46-36 Milwaukee Bucks travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks  53-29 on Saturday night.  The Bucks on motivated but the Hawks are too deep and will win this series in 5 games.

Saturday night the Miami Heat 47-35 take that long trip up the Atlantic Coast to confront the Boston Celtics 50-32.  The Celtics are getting tired and weary but they have one more good playoffs left in them.  Miami has Dwayne Wade but he can not pull this one out all alone.  The Heat will lose in 6.

The NBA Quarter Finals kick off this weekend with a vengeance and there should be some great games before it is all said and done.  Tomorrow we will take a look at the NBA Western Conference Quarter Finals as well.  Until we meet again may your betting be better and remember to always be a good sport.

NBA Playoffs Betting – New Orleans Hornets vs. San Antonio Spurs

The defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs are back in their series against the New Orleans Hornets after winning Game 3 and will now try and even things up in Game 4 on Sunday. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili scored 31 points each and Tim Duncan had 16 points and 13 rebounds in the Spurs 110-99 win on Thursday. “We know that going 3-0 – it’s never been done to come back like that,” said Ginobili, “Today, for us, it was a Game 7. We knew if we didn’t win today, it was almost over. So we had a different approach. We played with more passion, more edge.”   The Spurs will now try and take the next step and even the series.

SBGGlobal.com reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Spurs at Home.

Chris Paul had 35 point and nine assists while David West had 23 points and 12 rebounds in Game 3 for the Hornets.  New Orleans had their chance in the fourth quarter but missed wide open shots and the Spurs pulled away. “You got to give them a lot of credit,” Hornets coach Byron Scott said, “I thought they played a lot more aggressive tonight. A lot more physical. Basically kind of took us right out of our game. I thought we lost our composure tonight a little bit as well.” The Spurs didn’t contain Paul but they did hold Stojakovic to only eight points. “Chris is going to score regardless. He’s got the ball in his hands every single time. Every single play it’s Chris Paul,” said Parker, “He’s going to score. So we decided to put Bruce (Bowen) on Peja and at least hold somebody down because Peja was killing us.”

Current Odds: Spurs  – 5.5, Total  186
