Brandon “The Truth” Vera (9-2) who has defeated former heavyweight champ Frank Mir; and Keith “The Dean Of Mean” Jardine (13-5-1) who has wins over Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell under his belt; are set to face each other in a fight where both men will be trying to establish themselves as top contenders at 205.
“The Truth” Vera is the -185 favorite in the UFC online betting odds. After losing his last fight, on a controversial TKO to Fabricio Werdum, Vera moved down to the light heavyweight division. He hasn’t had good performances lately, but he has a slight advantage and should be able to capitalize on these small advantages to score a unanimous decision win.
Jardine (13-4, 6 KO’s), the +145 underdog at UFC online betting odds, has been a professional MMA fighter since 2001, and won six of his first seven fights. Jardine may have slightly more punching power and definitely is a better wrestler, but he is not as technical and versatile as his opponent.
