Since 1999, every year, contestants gather to see who can take the heat by seeing which person can stay in the sauna the longest. Men and women compete seperately, and for each there are preliminary rounds and then the championship. The championship round is for the 6 finalists, and they will sit in a sauna as water is added to the stove every 30 seconds. You may ask yourself how is the winner chosen. The answer is: the last person to be able to walk out without help.
