Gianluigi Buffon will not be leaving Juventus for Manchester City in the summer, said agent Silvano Martina.

Sportmediaset.it claimed City were ready to offer €35 million to Juventus after the World Cup in an attempt to land the shot-stopper.

But Martina has told Goal.com that Buffon is likely to see out his contract until 2013, and hinted that he may even retire with the Old Lady.

"Buffon to City? It's not true. Sometimes people write all sorts of things, but it's not true," Martina told Goal.com.

"He has a contract until 2013 and he will finish his career there. I don't know how this news comes about. Someone wakes up drunk in the morning and they shoot this nonsense out.

"I cannot say if he will move, anything can happen. But as for this thing that you have told me [Sportmediaset's report] I don't know anything, neither do Juventus."

Buffon is currently injured, but he will be back to full training next week as his recovery at Vinovo progresses well.

"He will be back soon. He will start to train on Monday with the rest of the team," he added.

"He should be ok within 10 or so days, and so he should be back by the end of the month."

It is not possible Buffon to leave Juventus soon, or whenever!!!
He stayed in his club in the most difficult moments, he will stay as much as it is necessary :)

AC Milan have confirmed that David Beckham has broken his left achilles tendon, and will be out for a minimum of three months, thus ending his Serie A season and ruling him out of the World Cup barring a miracle.
The 34-year-old was close to tears as he was treated for at least five minutes on the touchline, and the bad news of a broken achilles tendon has now been confirmed.

Becks infamously almost missed out on the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan after breaking his metatarsal close to the tournament.

It will take an absolute miracle for Beckham to go to South Africa as he is not expected to be back until the middle of June, at which point the tournament will have already begun.

Marcello Lippi Blasts: Inter Are Not Italian!

Italy coach Marcello Lippi is not impressed with Inter because there is not much Italian about them.

Jose Mourinho's starting XI against Chelsea had no player from Italy. Marco Materazzi, who came after 92 minutes, was the only Italian who took part, albeit briefly.

According to Goal.com Italia, Lippi said: "Italian football in crisis? You could think that looking at the Champions League, but it's not like that.

"What is there Italian about Inter for example? They are all foreigners, including the coach.

"The expression of Italian football, apart from the Nazionale, are Palermo, Genoa and Chievo. They all play well, and have excellent coaches."

For the record, Lippi spoke on Tuesday morning, before Inter's win over Chelsea in the Champions League.

Milan 1-1 Napoli: Rossoneri fail to leapfrog Inter after being held by Partenopei

Milan were unable to get all three points after drawing 1-1 with Napoli at the San Siro, meaning they remain in second place in Serie A.

The hosts had a number of injury problems, including Alessandro Nesta at the back, so veteran Giuseppe Favalli filled in at centre-back alongside Thiago Silva. Meanwhile, Clarence Seedorf supported the trident of Alexandre Pato, Filippo Inzaghi, and Ronaldinho.

The visitors were in good shape, only missing Fabiano Santacroce, but coach Walter Mazzarri used four in defence, rather than his typical three.

Milan nearly opened the scoring on nine minutes through an unlikely source, when Thiago Silva's powerful drive took a deflection and whizzed just wide of the net with the goalkeeper frozen.

Yet it was Napoli who took the lead against the run of play. Lavezzi broke into the box with a well-timed run and fooled the defence with a sharp cut-back for the oncoming Hugo Campagnaro, who passed the ball into the unguarded net.

The news got worse for the home crowd, as Pato could not continue due to a muscular problem and was replaced by Amantino Mancini.

Milan were struggling with the speed of their opponents' counter-attack and they nearly completed a sucker-punch with Lavezzi's bicycle kick, that required a brilliant save from Christian Abbiati.

With the southern Italians failing to take advantage of their pressure, the equaliser did come courtesy of Filippo Inzaghi, who slipped between defenders to head home Ronaldinho's pin-point cross on 25 minutes.

Ronaldinho spun past his marker and played a one-two with Mancini, but the former Barcelona star's effort was too central to worry Morgan De Sanctis.

At the other end, Abbiati misjudged a corner and was lucky not to be punished as Fabio Quagliarella's header was cleared off the line by Andrea Pirlo and that was the extent of the action in the first 45 minutes.

The second-half nearly began with another Milan goal, as Gianluca Zambrotta's throw found Clarence Seedorf in the box, but his volley could not be turned in by Thiago Silva or Inzaghi.

Milan were turning up the pressure to find three points in order to jump top of the table over city-rivals Inter, and Ronaldinho showed fancy footwork to jink through defenders and cross to Mathieu Flamini, but his shot was blocked by a sea of legs.

The Brazilian sparked a move again on the hour mark, twisting Gianluca Grava and laying off for 'Super Pippo,' but this time De Sanctis robbed the former Italian international from close range.

For the umpteenth time, Quagliarella was off target in the match, heading Lavezzi's cross over the bar.

The Rossoneri ommanded the second-half, but a ball chipped into the box by Michele Pazienza would have been tipped in if not for the quick reaction of Abbiati, who saved his team from going behind.

Somehow, the hosts failed to take the lead on 73 minutes. Seedorf faked a shot and flicked through for the wide open Mancini, but De Sanctis rushed off his line to deny the winger, who was bearing down on goal, and deflected the ball out for a corner.

With time winding down, Leonardo threw the dice, bringing on Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for the tiring Seedorf. Pirlo's stinging free-kick from 30 yards was barely handled by De Sanctis, but Napoli got away with his error.

Despite the majority of possession in the last few minutes, Milan failed to break down their opponents and had to settle for a 1-1 draw, leaving them a point behind Inter.

Luciano Moggi Plots Juventus Return

Luciano Moggi has said he would jump at the chance of returning to Juventus.

The former director, who was ousted from the club in 2006, could return to football once his ban from the game ends in 2011. And there is only one club he wants to work for.

"I wish it could happen. There is no doubt I would come back," he told Radio Erre 2 when asked whether he would consider returning to Juventus.

Moggi feels hurt by the way the team has failed this season, and he hopes to see change.

"I hope Juventus can recover because something is not right.

"I am sorry for what has been happening to the club because it has been destroyed without logic.

"I don't know the reasons why this is, but their transfer campaign was not right, no doubt about it."

It is time someone to come to Juventus and to resolve the problems they have! it is sad to see how the most successful team i going down :(
I agree that most of the transfers were not well at all! They should do something more to take Pandev in the team.

Pavel Nedved: Juventus Collapse Is Incredible

Pavel Nedved is struggling to come to terms with Juventus' shortcomings this season after seeing them crash out of Europe and struggling to hold down a Champions League place.

The former Bianconeri hero expected a successful campaign following heavy investment from the club last summer. However, it has been anything but.

"I no longer go to the stadium because I feel uncomfortable," he told Tuttosport.

"I still follow the team, but the situation makes me sad. What is happening is incredible.

"Out of the cups, and in one week, hopes of the Europa Leaugue and a fourth place vanished.

"I never imagined this would happen when I retired, and to think the team is stronger than last year..."

Despite the discouraging signs, Nedved believes the crisis will not last forever if the club clears the grey areas.

"I think the potential is there, but they have to find a way of showing it," he concluded.
