Murray, Williams and Sharapova in 2015 Australian Open Finals!
Three of the four 2015 Australian Open Semi-Finals matches are in the books and 3 of the best tennis players in the world have etched their rightful place in the finals.
Andy Murray faced off against Tomas Berdych in what proved to be a tension filled match that raised the intensity of the event. Murray went on to win 6-7 (6), 6-0, 6-3, 7-5. The tension appeared to extend from an incident involving a coaching change. Murray will now face off against either Novak Djokovic who beat him in the Australian Open Finals in 2011 and 2013 or last years defending champion Stan Wawrinka. Djokovic and Wawrinka face off tomorrow in the last semi-final match. Murray has yet to win the title in Melbourne in 3 trips to the finals.
Serena Williams has won 5 Australian Open Titles in 5 attempts. She eliminated a young and feisty Madison Keys 7-6(5), 6-2. Serena will meet Maria Sharapova in the Women's Finals.
Maria Sharapova walked through Ekaterina Makarova 6-3, 6-2 to cement her spot in the finals against Serena Williams. Sharapova has won 1 title in Melbourne, but has conceded her last 15 matches to Williams who is the World Number 1 in women's tennis.
The Final Word
Tomorrow Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka will play to determine who will square off against Andy Murray in the men's finals. Should Djokovic win it will be the 3rd time in 5 years he has faced off against Murray in the finals in Melbourne. Stan Wawrinka still has a chance to eliminate that scenario by defeating Djokovic and chasing his 2nd consecutive Australian Open Title. Until we meet again may your betting be better and remember to always be a good sport.
