The Florida Gators have made it to the Final 8 three years in a row only to be knocked out. This year they have made it to the Final 4 with their sights on a National Championship.

This year in the Final 8 they did not face Michigan, Butler or Louisville, the teams that had put them out in their past 3 Final 8 appearances, but instead they matched up with the Dayton Flyers. The Flyers flew out of nowhere in this tournament to eliminate powerhouses Ohio State, Stanford and Syracuse.

The 2014 Major League Baseball season began on March 22 in Sydney, Australia, with the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Novak Djokovic knocked off Roger Federer at the BNP Paribas Open to win his 3rd Indian Wells title. It was a grueling match for the #1 tennis pro in the world. Federer, who has won 4 Indian Wells title of his own, had played with heart and intensity throughout this California classic.

Federer was fast off the serve in the first match winning 6-3, but Djokovic rebounded and won the 2nd round 6-3. In the final set both players displayed why they are among the best players in the world. It was a hard fought match, but Djokovic came out victorious with a 7-6 win.
